Here’s my advice for home sellers who want to know when they should list.
Today’s question comes from a home seller we’re working with right now who wants to know, “How do you know when to put your house on the market?”
The very first thing you need to know is when you want to move. Pick a date and we can work backward from that.
The next step is to look at how long it’s taking comparable homes to sell in the current market. Right now, homes are selling in just about two weeks for the seller we’re working with, so that’s the timeline we’re working off of. It’s different based on your individual property and market. Finally, we will look at how long it will take to close the sale after we accept an offer, which could be anywhere from 30 to 60 days.
It could take anywhere from 30 to 60 days to close after an offer is accepted.
How do you decide when to put your house on the market? It starts when picking the date you want to move. Based on that answer, we can help you find a solution that matches up with that timeline.
If you have any questions for me or want to let me know when you’d like to move, don’t hesitate to reach out via phone or email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
